HALLOWEEN!
We looked into the celebration of Halloween this week. Jack-o-lanterns are a big part of the Halloween tradition so we made some out of paper plates. The lanterns look amazing in our classroom so come in and have a look.
This week for your homework task I want you to post about something you have learnt during our first week of cultural celebrations. I have added some photos to help you remember the two celebrations we have looked at. Posts up br Friday :)
This term we are learning about different cultural celebration. Tomorrow is Diwali so today we started to make rangoli patterns. We are going to colour these tomorrow.
We hope that everyone who celebrates Diwali tomorrow has a lovely day.
We have been letter writing the last couple of weeks. We decided to write letters to our favourite performers from the RWC opening ceremony. We used the mimio earlier in the week to highlight the features of letter writing. You can look at this and write your own letter at home.
This week is a really exciting week. We have the school art expo so come along and bid on the amazing kiwiana t-shirts you made. We are also testing for the rugby-a-thon on Monday so don't forget to bring in your sponsorship cards. (just the card not the money).
We would like to Welcome Miss Clansey into room 12. She is going to be in our classroom for the next three weeks. We are really looking forward to working with her!
