Lets get inventing!
We have been busy learning about inventions. Yesterday we talked about the process inventors go through when the create something. We thought the process might look a little something like this:
1. Make a plan
2. Get the resources
3. Try and make it
4. Test it
5. Reflect and make changes
6. Make it again
7. Test it
Mrs Filipo gave us an inventors challenge today. We had to make the tallest "something" that could stand all by itself. We were only allowed three sheets of paper and three pieces of cellotape. We had to follow the inventors process. First we planned, then we got the resources and then we made it. Later this week we are going to make changes and see if we can make it better.
Here are some of the photos:

Inventions
Our topic this term is based on inventions. Last week we made toothpaste in small groups. We mixed it up and taste tested it. Most of us thought it was disgusting so this week we are going to make toothpaste again but add different flavours to it, hopefully this will make it better. We may even come up with flavours that haven't been invented before.

Procedural writing
We have been completing procedural writing. This week we had to write out clear steps on how to brush our teeth. Once we finished our writing we tested out how good our steps were. Some of us forgot a few steps like putting tooth paste on your tooth brush. Have a look at these videos and follow the steps from home.
